I have HPE 350P that servers as my main esxi server. In addition I have a 4tb SSD NAS attached to ESXi as external storage over 10gb link. I use PfSense firewall as my main with a Cisco distrubtion switch to ageragte to my devices. The switch has a span port that passes into security onion running on VMware.
